How to use this resource pack:
- Read chapter 1 of the book.
- Discuss what has happened and how the characters are feeling.
- Share the WAGOLL with pupils and discuss its features.
- Pupils identify the features of the diary text, using the feature find sheet and answers.
- Pupils plan and write their own diary entry from the point of view of Max, Peony, Pansy, Petunia, Ma, Pa, Uncle Bo or any other character from the story, using the planning templates.
