Diary Entry
Pupils write a diary entry from the point of view of Christophe recalling the events of Chpter 1 of the novel.

How to use this resource pack:
- Read Chapter 1 of the novel. Discuss.
- Share the WAGOLL with pupils and discuss its features.
- Pupils identify the features of a diary entry using the Feature Find sheet and answers.
- Pupils plan and write their own diary entry from the point of view of Christophe or another character from the story (for example, Jeremy, Greg, Miss Finch or Christophe’s father).
Dialogue
Pupils write a dialogue with direct speech between two or more characters from the story.
The example text is based on Chapter 2 of the novel, when Rwandan refugee Christophe is bullied by schoolboy Jeremy.
